Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park
is at the Governors State University. It provides the Chicagoland region with a premier presentation of large-scale contemporary sculpture.
It has about 30 works of sculptures within 100+ acres of prairie landscape. The permanent collection includes 24 pieces; five works are on long-term loan from the artists.
Highlights include several important landscape-based sculptures created by distinguished artists at the height of their creative powers, a group of works by major late-20th Century American sculptors and a number of works representing Chicago-based artists, ca. 1973-2010. Sculptors from France and Mexico are also represented.
The park is supported by volunteers and donors who believe in its mission and its primary goals of education, acquisition and conservation.
