[…] Every year Chicago’s loop is taken over by Christmas spirit and this year is no different. Christkindlmarket has been a Chicago tradition since 1996 and has now become the largest outdoor Christmas market attracting over a million visitors each year. Christkindlmarket located in Daley Plaza serves up a bunch of German food and drink and is center pieced by of course a Christmas Tree. Walk just one block east to State St you will find Marsha… I mean Macy’s which display their annual Holiday Windows. If you dare walk into the bustling Macy’s you can also find a 45ft tall tree and the world famous Walnut Room. Also on State st. you will hear the constant sounds of Christmas music that sync up (although I find the light show to be overwhelming) to the all year long Installation lightscape. Chicago is a cold city no doubt about that but things like Christmas in the loop make the winter somewhat bearable. Christkindlemarket Info Macy’s Info Lightscape Info […]
