Know the Artists: Studio Visits / Installation/ Opening Reception
I have enjoyed the privilege of meeting with many sculptors in Chicago. It’s been a very enriching experience, to learn more about the meticulous process of fabrication of a sculpture, the technicalities involved with the installation, and even to catch-up with nervousness and excitement of the Opening Reception or Dedication of an Art Piece. Here I share my meetings with the artists.. at their studio, on site or at Opening Reception..
Hope you enjoy it as much as I have, photographing and documenting the events!

A message and question for Jyoti.
Hello. Perhaps you can help me find info on Ian Mestrovic’s The Bowman and The Spearman, the two public pieces on Congress in Chicago.
My friend, who no longer lives in Chicago, loves these pieces very much. Every time she is in the city she insists on seeing them. So we make our “pilgrimage”. I would like to get her either a book about them with photos or photos of them suitable for framing. Your photos would be a perfect and wonderful gift. But I have no means to reproduce them with the same quality even if I had permission to do so.
I have found books online on his work but can’t find out if the books cover these two beautiful works with photos.
Any help you can be would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean
