Expo Chicago 2014: InSitu / Site Specific Installation

Location: Navy Pier, Chicago

Composed of a variety of materials such as plastic baskets, lights, chain, carpet and mirrors. All of the materials were secured together using zip ties .

Jessica Stockholder made a site-specific sculpture titled ‘Once Upon a Time’ for Expo Chicago 2014. The work stretched vertically 50 ft. high, and presented the viewers with rare view of the festivities from within her sculpture. The 1500 pound suclpture was suspended from the ceiling of the exhibition. The piece was fully deconstructed after the five-day fair.
