This is a citywide public art installation project which will feature oversized replicas of Chicago’s iconic fire hydrants, designed, painted, decorated, dressed by noted artist, architects and designers. Each hydrant will be 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide, made of fiber optics. There will be 101 such fire hydrants to represent each fire house and will be seen at downtown business centers and tourist destinations. Later in December, these will be auctioned, with proceeds benefitting 100 Club Chicago.
