2013: HOLIDAY WINDOW DECORATION
at Macy’s at State Street
This year marks the 46th Annual Window Decoration. Marshall Fields started the Holiday Window Decorations, and Macy’s has continued with the tradition. The 2013 theme is “The Magic of Christmas”, emphasizing the iconic Marshall Field’s tradition of the past and Macy’s commitment to continue these traditions.

“Yes Virginia, there is Santa”
is the famous phrase that reminds us to believe in magic holidays.
Watching “miracles on 34th Street” – out comes a balloon!
Like Santa’s arrival, it means Christmas is here soon.
Make your way north to Santa’s magical lair,
where he listens to wishes in his big comfy chair.
Turn your gaze back to nineteen-aught-seven,
when Tiffany gave us this magical bit of heaven.
Mr’s Hering Potpie and a magical Great Tree.
The Walnut Room at Christmas, where else could you be?
A Chicago tradition and, oh my have it grown
Like the kids who’ve made Uncle Mistletow their own.
Since 1897, State Street’s Great Clock
has announced Christmas time with every tick-tock.
In the Frango factory, all is mint and chocolate cheers
No surprise then, that like magic, these goodies disappear.
The setting is Chicago, with its tradition so dear
celebrating a magical season in full holiday gear
A magical spin through 150 years of fashion
revelas Chicago’s high-style passion.
